A tourism rebound — Collier County sees uptick of international travelers: “The county has now seen year-over-year increases for three consecutive months, starting in June. The statistics for August show the county attracted 16,400 international visitors, up 18% from 13,900 in the same month a year ago.”
City of Marco Island Announces Traffic Signal Modernization Project: “The City of Marco Island will begin a traffic signal modernization project Oct. 26, replacing aging traffic signal cabinets at 10 intersections throughout the island.”
Some Residents Receiving Aberrant High Water Consumption Leak Alerts: “For accounts that show a spike in water usage that is invalid, customers will not be charged for water that is not used. For leaks that have led to increases in the water bill, the City has a billing adjustment policy in which customers may request an adjustment on their water bill for leaks.”
SWFLA To Do List: Events in Bonita, Estero, Naples and Marco Island: “Enjoy Halloween with the family in an afternoon of live music, games and a costume contest at Cambier Park, 755 Eighth Ave. S., Naples. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 7.24% as of October 29, 2026, down from last week when it averaged 7.32%. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.17%.
The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.60%, down from last week when it averaged 6.68%. A year ago at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 5.41%.
