Community speaks: City Council confirms it has no plans to defund MIPD: “Marco Island has no intention of closing and outsourcing the city's police department, City Council members said loud and clear this week.”

Amazon confirms new Whole Foods store in East Naples, off Davis Blvd: “It's official. Collier County is getting its second Whole Foods Market.”

City of Marco Island to Begin 2026 Manhole Lining Project: “The project is expected to continue through the end of September 2026 and will rehabilitate 30 existing sanitary sewer manholes located along West Elkcam Circle, Herb Savage Way, and the Veterans Park area.”

Call to Artists: City Seeks Artwork and Photography for City Hall Display: “The City of Marco Island regularly displays a rotating exhibit of local artists’ and photographers’ in City Hall located at 50 Bald Eagle Drive. To submit artwork to the City, art in-take will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 between 9:30am – 11:00am at City Hall. The City will provide a contract for the artist to sign.”
